MVI56E-MNET/MNETXT

The MVI56E Modbus TCP/IP Client/Server Enhanced Communication Module allows Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to easily connect with Modicon programmable automation controllers (PAC) and various Modbus TCP/IP compatible instruments and devices.

The enhanced features of the MVI56E include local and remote configuration and diagnostics via the module's Ethernet port, CIPconnect technology for bridging Rockwell Automation ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks, and an onboard web server for accessing module documentation and example programs.

The MVI56E-MNET and MVI56E-MNETXT offer the same functionality. The MVI56E-MNET is designed for standard process applications, while the MVI56E-MNETXT is specifically designed for the Logix-XT control platform, enabling it to operate in extreme environments with higher operating temperatures and featuring a conformal coating to protect against harsh or corrosive conditions.
